This is a new position within the Risk IT working primarily on a project to provide business process and optimization to Banking Compliance. The Business Systems Analyst will have experience collecting and analysing complex requirements related to financial services functions and ideally in Banking Compliance and Financial Risk Management. They will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to facilitate discussions on both business and technology topics, and they will demonstrate strong team player skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with peers and in partnership with other key stakeholders.

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst at professional level able to work on the requirements and process/systems improvements for the stakeholders. This is a project - based role.

Perfect candidate:

Experienced business systems analyst with a very good technical understanding and ability to work on customer requirements with strong communication and collaboration skills and a proactive attitude.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Analyze the working processes of the Banking Compliance department, identifying and articulating processes that can be improved through technology and automation.

Analyze existing in-house systems (eg. GRC, support or workflow systems) to determine their suitability in being applied to Banking Compliance process optimization uses.

Document functional requirements, and if in-house development required work with Analyst Developers to collaboratively create technical requirements,

Translate requirements into product backlog items in line with Agile practices.

Coordinate with other workstreams and with IT to align on related items and dependencies.

Must haves:

Experience with business analysis (requirements gathering and analysis, running reviews and finding ways and areas of improvements and optimization, documentation preparation) (*)

Previous experience in systems analysis (working on systems optimizations) (*)

Experience working in an Agile development environment. (*)

Technical knowledge with good understanding of the relational databases and SQL (*)

Interpersonal skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to demonstrate initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.

Fluent in English (oral and written)

Nice to have:

Previous experience in the financial services field

Knowledge of Banking Compliance, and in particular GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) systems, Sanctions Screening, Trade Surveillance

Experience with Python
