Salary: Up to £45,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits

The position:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive On-Site IT Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to our employees across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth operations across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide on-site technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications.
  • Monitor IT systems, including Servers, networks, and applications, to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and guides
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to ensure a positive end-user experience.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Highly competent in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and remote desktop support tools.
  • Excellent understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of VMware and Windows Server technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and respond to emergencies as needed/Prepared to travel to other sites as required.
