Compensation Specialist (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK
 

Seeking a Compensation Specialist to support on all compensation activity across the UK within a banking institution. It is a fantastic opportunity with a breadth of responsibilities for an individual to continue to grow and develop expertise in this space.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing expert advice relating to all aspects of compensation to HR Business Partners and broader business stakeholders
  • Support projects and processes in the compensation space including salary benchmarking, analytics and annual remuneration review, deferred compensation and annual compensation survey submissions
  • Prepare materials for and present at/attend UK REMCO meetings
  • Work closely with the compensation team in the global headquarters to ensure consistent application of compensation processes
  • Advise on structuring creative and competitive compensation packages to attract and retain employees
  • Lead and facilitate the business on all regulatory remuneration requirements including processes and disclosures including attending the Regulatory Forum and ensure all relevant controls are in place
  • Provide reporting as required around variable compensation pay out reconciliation.

Core Requirements Include:

  • Experience of working within the financial services sector within the compensation space- preferably within banking
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the compensation across the UK and EMEA region.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory, legal and social requirements for compensation across the UK and EMEA regions.
  • Good understanding of market benchmarking and job evaluation methodologies (McLagan preferable)
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
