IO Associates seeks a NDT Inspector for the Broughton/Stevenage location. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) on aircraft materials, including composite and metallic components and structures, across all business sectors.
- Ensure compliance with internal technical standards by managing documentation, providing ongoing training for operational teams, and issuing NDT reports for concession approvals.
- Provide on-site support to operations, including Andon support and Production Planning System (PPS) support.
- Assist with internal and external audits, support projects aimed at reducing concessions, and perform performance checks on in-house NDT equipment to maintain certifications.
Skills required
- EN4179 (or equivalent) Level 2 certification in Eddy Current and Ultrasonic testing.
- Experienced in testing Composite and Metallic materials using various methods.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work autonomously or in a team.
- Organized, self-motivated, and flexible to meet tight deadlines.
