Job Title: Technician
Job Description
Support project by executing chemical and petroleum lab scale experiments. Build up test equipment, compile, and report test data. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Work with engineers to generate mass balances and data compilations. Perform sample collection. Training will be provided by a chemist or lead engineer. Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Candidates need to be able to take apart equipment and rebuild as changes will be made to the pilot plant. Be able to read drawings, specifically AutoCAD. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical equipment including, but not limited to, the process demonstration unit, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment. Assist in the safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant equipment from outside the control room. Visually inspect and listen to equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. Monitor plant air and water emissions from outside the control room. Training will be provided by the lead engineer on shift.
