Title: Senior Software Engineer, Master Data Management - 66365
Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer , for the John Deere Enterprise (Moline), you will join the Product/PIN Master Data Management area. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on Mission critical products and set the data engineering direction to Product Master data and other Master data products within the Data & Analytics space. In addition, you will:

  • Be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to design drive data engineering, API development and deliver high quality data accessibility solutions to meet the growing needs of the product's business requirements
  • Work as an active member of the Master Data Engineering scrum team with strong software design, data design and loosely coupled architectural experience
  • Transform and continuously improve product to meet or exceed the product's specifications of availability, data quality and compliance requirements thru' DevOps/CI/CD principles and Data Governance principles
  • Participate in discussions with the scrum team and collaborate with Staff engineer and the product teams to develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements
  • Participate in a variety of efforts related to front and Back End development (full-stack)
  • Drive product innovations leveraging the cloud and other industry leading technologies
  • Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of production support issues
  • Champion technical standards and processes; accountable for technical outcomes

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • 2 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management
  • 7 or more years of experience with applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • 5 or more years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • 2 or more years of deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles, such as: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • 2 or more years of experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
  • 3 or more years of working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures (Swagger.io)
  • 2 or more years of experience in Web application development and maintenance, familiar with ETL tool and technology
  • 3 or more years of varied database experience in Postgres/MongoDB, DB2, SAP HANA
  • 3 or more years of hands on experience with building data pipelines using Spark/Databricks/python and be able to bring in tools/automation to maintain quality of data

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Proven experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others
  • Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner
  • Learning Agility/Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with containerization and virtualization
  • Experience configuring, implementing, and utilizing system execution/quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SonarQube, etc.
  • Understanding of OAuth principles and IAM
  • Performance testing/tuning experience
  • Working understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures (Swagger.io)

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
