Addressing everything from chronic diseases to HIV/AIDS to healthcare policy, MSPH tackles today's pressing public health issues, translating research into action.MSPH's Office of Faculty Affairs and Human Resources (OFAHR) is committed to fostering an environment to support best practices for talent acquisition, onboarding, orientation and active employee engagement for the members of our community. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the HR Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact in delivering a high level of customer service to our faculty and staff. This role will assist with the overall operations of the Faculty Affairs and Human Resources office, including, but not limited to data management: entering, editing, retrieving and overall maintenance of database; create and maintain reports such as demographics, On-call and the vacation report. The HR Manager will respond to all inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, while exemplify the customer services values and standards representative of MSPHResponsibilities+ Candidate will assist with the overall operations of the Faculty Affairs and Human Resources office. Will assist with data management including entering, editing, retrieving and overall maintenance of database; create and maintain reports such as On-call and the vacation report.+ Assist with all personnel/academic appointments transactions, including but not limited to TBH processing of short term casuals, assisting with TalentLink/RAPS postings and waivers, and processing visitors.+ Responsible for tracking metrics relevant to hires and terminations, OFAHR's efficiency in processing all employee-related HR paperwork by proactively overseeing on-call report, and recorded transactions for the office. Will review department-level Error Report (tracked) and work with Associate Dean in addressing these transactional errors.+ Oversee and manage the Annual Roster and effectively maintaining the timeliness and accuracy required for appointment renewals, non-renewals, salary changes, etc.+ Work closely with Associate Dean (and IT team) in upgrading OFAHR data system and migration to server, will provide training to departments on accessing department data on server, and will maintain this new system.+ Work closely with Associate Dean (and IT team) in upgrading OFAHR data system and migration to server, will provide training to departments on accessing department data on server, and will maintain this new system.+ Work closely with Sr. Director in upgrading OFAHR new website and maintaining it.+ Provide customized School reports on demographics, trends, and changes, and reports on operations.+ Provide periodic new faculty reports to HR Associate Director for 4th Year Reviews, Mentoring Program, and Up-and-Out reports.+ Assist with COAP materials processing for MSPH COAP committee members and serve as back-up for the HR Associate Director.+ Respond to routine inquiries from faculty, departmental administrators, and staff. Prepare correspondence. Handle routine data requests. Maintain filing system and up-to-date list servs. Order and maintain office supplies. Responsible for photocopying, faxing and delivery of time sensitive and confidential documents.+ Will assist with data management including entering, editing, retrieving and overall maintenance of database; create and maintain reports such as On-Call, vacation report, Visa end dates, performance appraisals, exit survey report, and unemployment requests. Assist with all personnel/academic appointments transactions; responsible for TBH processing of short term casuals, assist with TalentLink/RAPS postings and waivers, process visitors, reviewing of salary rosters. Will assist Associate Dean with tracking transactional metrics relevant to hires and terminations, OFAHR's efficiency in processing all employee-related HR paperwork by proactively overseeing on-call report, and recorded transactions for the office. Will review department-level Error Report (tracked) and work with Associate Dean in addressing these transactional errors. Provide customized School reports on demographics, trends, and changes, and reports on operations.+ Assist in the preparation and processing of all personnel related paperwork including photocopying, and maintaining filing system; Respond to routine inquiries from faculty, departmental administrators, and staff. Prepare correspondence. Handle routine data requests. Maintain filing system and up-to-date list servs.+ Assist with ASPPH/CEPH in addition to compliance training such as HIPAA, Title IX, and other mandatory training;+ Maintain inventory of and order office supplies, arrange for routine office equipment maintenance; Type correspondence and other documents, answer telephones, respond to routine inquiries, organize meetings, mailing+ Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications+ Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus three to five years of related experience.+ Must have the ability to work independently and efficiently.+ Excellent communications and organizational skills required.+ Strong verbal and written communication skills+ High level of discretion and confidentiality is required.+ Broad computer skills required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management and project management softwarePreferred Qualifications+ Master's or other advanced degree in Human Resources or related field and Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, PMI-PBA)+ Five to eight years of related professional experience+ Prior experience working in higher education administration or public health+ Working knowledge of CASPIO is a strong plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteranColumbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
