Job Details

 

Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Barcelona Country: Spain Rate: 500-700 euros per day
 

Purpose:

Project Manager responsible for the success of one or more internal projects, delivering the agreed scope on time, on budget, and at the targeted quality level.

The Project Manager will be a member of the small, central Project Office which drives and supports a wide range of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects - manage the project throughout the life cycle - from initiation through project closure.
  • You manage deliver results to stakeholders, manage risks.
  • Attention to detail, effective time management and influencing people skills are key ingredients to be successful in managing projects within FLCS.
  • Working with project teams - Every project is completed through team effort. Work with your Sponsor to establish and work effectively with team members that may be local or distant.
  • Regular - track project activities against plans and take corrective action on any deviations/communicate to team members, Project Office management and stakeholders.
  • Project administration - ability to write clearly and simply are key skills to documenting project activities.
  • Documentation ranges from project plans, scope and approach agreed with sponsor, deliverable presentations, status reports in line with agreed templates, submitting and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues, Steering Committee reports and proposal for approval.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration or Information Technology.
  • Formal project management training and certification - PMP certified recommended.

Experience:

  • Track record of success in in managing multiple projects of varying sizes, complexities, budgets and deliverables within a corporate environment - Ideally Finance.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders in a corporate environment.
  • Ideally have experience with Finance Operations and Transformations.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Department related Knowledge and Skills:
    • Interest in IT-Solution and Air Transport Industry (ATI)
    • Good understanding of financial management processes including budgeting, forecasting, reporting & operations (ie Financial Systems)
  • Project Management Knowledge and Skills:
    • Good understanding of project management methodologies and the project life cycle in virtual team setups.
    • Strong writing ability and solid oration and follow up skills in English.
    • Focus on delivering results.
    • Ability to plan, organise and structure your own work and the work of others.
    • Pro-activity and persistence.
    • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Communication and reporting skills - Presentations.
    • Confidentiality/discretion
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 (in Particular Excel/PowerPoint/MS Teams.)
