Systems Administrator (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £30k
 

Hybrid (2 days from office and 3 days from home)

Overview

The Systems Administrator is part of the Web Operations team providing operational support and management of technology applications and services hosted internally and externally to the company. The Web Operation team works closely with the IT and Trade teams, to manage all operational aspects of company's' B2B and B2C portfolio of applications including support, availability and optimal configuration of web applications, services, and systems.
Workload for the team is generated through 3 different streams: projects, service desk tickets or monitoring. The team are expected to meet targets for those 3 streams, whether that target is a project milestone, service desk ticket SLA or response time for responding to and rectifying issues raised.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administration, maintenance and configuration of Salesforce Commerce Cloud web application environments and Back End systems and processes.
  • Administration and or configuration of key web tools such as Google Tools, Rigor, JIRA, Solarwinds, etc.
  • Responsible for governing access to, and ensuring operational availability of, production and UAT application hosting environments and services.
  • First line of contact for all web operations queries.
  • Log and follow through to completion web support cases including bug fixes, enhancements, and improvements.
  • Provision of pro-active system monitoring and appropriate fault resolution.
  • Ensure system support, maintenance and change is conducted in line with agreed timelines and standards.
  • Ensure system availability, particularly during business-critical timeframes.
  • Liaise with third party development partners and software vendors for product management and issue resolution.
  • Provide ad-hoc solutions to web operational problems and issues.
  • Assist with web end-to-end systems UAT.
  • Write and optimise SQL queries as required by the business.
  • Maintenance of systems documentation
  • The role requires occasional out of hours working.

Key Competencies

  • Experience of Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware (preferred)
  • Salesforce ADM201 (preferred)
  • SQL (compulsory)
  • Previous WebOps/DevOps experience (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel
  • VBA
  • Oracle DB
