My Portsmouth based client is looking to recruit a permanent IT Manager/IT Systems Manager.
The IT Manager/IT Systems Manager will be responsible for supporting the organisations locations throughout Europe, involving the use of enterprise application software to maximise efficiency, providing user support, purchasing computer hardware and software, and leveraging corporate policies. Primary duties include day to day maintenance of the ERP systems and related custom applications, along with creation and maintenance of business-critical reporting. This position will also be heavily involved in present/future corporate acquisitions and system migrations. In-depth understanding of functionality of Manufacturing ERP/MES systems. This would ideally include experience with multiple ERPs and a broad understanding of standard functionality/capabilities. Highly knowledgeable of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases, development, data manipulation, table structures, views, etc. Ability to troubleshoot both day-to-day and complex issues; often using a combination of Front End and database level investigation.
Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and concepts; items, bills of materials, inventory, finances, etc.
Experience with acquisitions, integrations, migrations. Record and track product licensing and document to management. Knowledge of reporting environments, such as PowerBI, Crystal Reports and Tableau etc. Monitor and evaluate usage reports and maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software to maximise efficiency of network. Obtain pricing and prepare purchase requisitions for authorised computer hardware and software. Perform any range of network administrative assignments as requested including support for specific applications.
