Principal Technologist - hybrid - 6 months - c750-800pday inIR35 (Contract)

PRINCIPLE/CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER/AI AND ML DOMAIN/DDAT - 6 months - HYBRID 3 DAYS ONSITE IN London, Bristol or Manchester - RATE c750-800 PD INSIDE IR35

We are looking foe a Chief/Principle Technology Office to join a busy Government client to help make building great technology easier across the Sector

Role:
Set a 10-year intent and strategy for the field you are aligned to

Identify and develop existing principles, standards and best practice

Build a network of peers across the Sector to regularly engage with

Promote your work through content written for GOV.UK, speaking engagements and hosting community events

This role requires:

Experience setting a vision and leading digital and data change

Experience designing and building technology and to be able to use this to build credibility with others, evaluate proposals and decide an execution approach

Experience engaging with suppliers/vendors both formally and informally

You to be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, both technical (such as CTOs/CDOs) and non-technical (including ministers and permanent secretaries)

Working co-operatively across several multi-disciplinary teams

Good verbal and written skills to document and upskill colleagues (for example, to draft frameworks)

Prior government experience whether its national or local would be highly beneficial

Prior experience in training others (nice to have)

Technical skills

You should be at the top skill levels in your DDaT specialism, most likely from the Architecture, Data, IT Operations or Software Development groups.

You should hold relevant industry certifications for your technical specialism

You should have at least 2 years experience working with AI/ML as your main role
