Linux Systems Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Shrivenham Country: UK Rate: £35k - 45k per annum

Are you a skilled problem solver with a knack for time management? Do you thrive working independently or collaboratively in a team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic company as a Linux Systems Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilise your expertise in Linux operating systems, including RHEL/CentOS 6, 7, and 8.
- Implement and manage open-source tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Foreman for efficient automation.
- Execute Linux patching systems using tools such as Spacewalk and Satellite.
- Oversee application management and distribution across Linux estates.
Essential Skills:- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Linux engineering environment.
- Proficient in Scripting languages like Bash, Python, and Perl.
- Experience with version control software, preferably Git.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems (Server 2012, 2016, 2019) and Windows 10.
- Knowledge of automation technologies like Terraform or Jenkins.
Desired Skills:- Networking expertise, including LAN, WAN, Cisco switching, Juniper, and Fortinet security products.
- Database administration skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or InfluxDB).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and Cloud solutions (Azure, O365, etc.).
- Experience in virtualisation management (VMware, XenServer, OpenStack, RHV, or Hyper-V).
- Understanding of PKI and certificate services.
