C# Developer - Commodities Trading (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £650 - £750 per day
 

C# Developer - sought by leading investment bank based in London - Hybrid - Contract

*Inside IR35*

Requirements

Experience/Background

  • Experience (3+ years) of working in a Senior Development role at the enterprise-level with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong experience of C#, ideally with desktop as well as web-services and dotnet core and distributed micro-services-based architectures.
  • A good understanding of async programming. Functional programming experience useful.
  • Good understanding of OO concepts and SOLID design principles
  • Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases preferred. SQL experience useful.
  • Experience in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and Automated Deployment environment with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy
  • Some experience of Openshift/Kubernetes ideal
  • GUI experience an advantage (eg WPF, Blazor, React)
  • Experience of building automated regression testing as well as unit testing and TDD
  • Being proficient in one or more Scripting languages is a nice to have (eg Python)
  • An ideal candidate would have some knowledge of expression trees and parsers, but this is not essential.
  • Experience of working in distributed global teams
  • Knowledge of Commodities would be useful and ideally Commodity Indices an obvious advantage.
