Maintenance Engineer

SouthendSalary- Competitive DOE Circa £35kMonday-Friday double days.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in between Basildon and Southend who are looking for a Maintenance engineer to join their team.
The company is looking for a multi-skilled or mechanically biased engineer with manufacturing experience and will consider both junior and senior engineers.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance.

Carrying out reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance

Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machinery and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.

Identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.
Skills and Experience required:

Relevant engineering qualifications (City and Guilds preferred)

Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.

Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Ability to manage your own time and responsibilities.
