We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Architect who specialises in Azure Cloud migration of on-premise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. As a BI Architect, you will be responsible for leading the migration process, designing and implementing Azure-based BI solutions, and optimising data management and analytics capabilities in the cloud. This role requires strong technical expertise in Azure Cloud services and a deep understanding of BI architecture and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee the migration of on-premise BI solutions to Azure Cloud, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
2. Design and develop Azure-based BI solutions, including data warehousing, data lakes, data integration, and analytics services.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
4. Develop and implement data governance and security policies to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
5. Optimise data management and performance by leveraging Azure Cloud technologies, such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Analysis Services.
6. Create and maintain documentation of BI architectures, data models, and processes.
7. Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions in the Azure Cloud environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Azure Cloud technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement of BI capabilities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a BI Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure Cloud migration.
3. Strong understanding of BI architecture, Datamodelling, data integration, and data visualization techniques.
4. In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps.
5. Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lakes using Azure technologies.
6. Proficiency in SQL and Scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
7. In-depth knowledge of one of more BI tools and platforms, such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
8. Solid understanding of data governance, security, and privacy principles.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.

Nice to Have Skills:

1. Microsoft Azure certifications related to BI and data analytics, such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
2. Experience with other cloud platforms and migration projects (eg, AWS or Google Cloud).
3. Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning and predictive modelling.
4. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines
