SAIC is looking for innovative and committed juniors or seniors majoring in Electrical Engineering to help the government achieve its goals and deliver mission excellence on critical national programs.

Are you curious about applying Electrical Engineering concepts to real-world complex solutions in the Intelligence Community? The National Intelligence Community (NIC) at SAIC seeks enthusiastic, self-starting, entry-level Electrical Engineering majors who will graduate in 2025 or 2026 and want to contribute to the nation's most pressing intelligence challenges. Qualified candidates must work well in groups and have excellent communication skills. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our values-driven process. We aim to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career. The NIC has a wide variety of technical needs; specifics of the role will be defined based on candidate experience, interests, and program needs.

Program Timeline:

  • Interviewing begins in October/November 2024

  • Selections begin mid-December 2024

  • On-boarding activities begin in January 2025

  • Internship Program begins in June 2025 and ends in August 2025

The Electrical Engineering Intern will learn and demonstrate technical skills in telecommunications, optical engineering, and radio frequency theory. The candidate will review the analysis of technical documentation such as engineering specifications, interface control documents, and system link budgets. You will participate in engineering testing, learn to evaluate system designs and provide solutions for areas of improvement. The candidate will assist in brainstorming and developing new initiatives related to digital signal processing. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with SAIC Leadership, internal team members, and other interns to support our organization's critical business priorities and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating in 2025 or 2026 with substantial academic achievement

  • Completed coursework in Communication and Information Theory, Control Theory, Circuit Analysis, and Digital Systems Designs

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. If selected for the program, SAIC will sponsor the clearance

  • Reside in the local area while in the internship program

  • Available to work 40 hours a week for ten weeks from June 2024 to August 2024
