As a Java Developer (WebSphere) you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our user. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.
This position will pay a range between $120,000-$140,000 commensurate on validated experience to the job description This position has full flexibility to work remotely Responsibilities
- Maintain and support existing HCL Commerce application
- Implementation of new HCL Commerce store and Search Engine implementation using out of the box Elastic search
- Responsible for crafting and coding improvements and new business applications by combining technical and business requirement.
- Maintaining web development documentation, testing cases and specifications
- Act as a mentor to other developers with programming issues
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and consensus building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to conduct code review
Qualifications
- 5+ years of complex experience in HCL WebSphere Commerce v7, v8, v9, WebSphere Application Server, Rational Application Developer/Eclipse, DB2.
- Experience with microservices, containers and Orchestration frameworks (K8S).
- Proven record in Java J2EE Technology experience specifically: JSP, Servlet, EJB, AOP, JMS, Java Mail, SQL and JDBC, Struts.
- Experience in working with Kafka, Redis, Elastic Search, Akamai etc.
- Knowledge of 'Headless' architecture - eg REACT/NodeJS/GraphQL
- Open source API knowledge (apache, ant, axis, commons, junit, xerces)
- Experience with JQuery, JQuery Mobile, Dojo, Angular JS and React JS
- Experience with continuous integration technologies: Jenkins or Quick-Build and GitHub
- Knowledge or experience of application configuration
- Service Oriented Architecture - SOAP/REST
- Web Technologies - HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
- Rapid prototyping
- Extensive experience working in an AGILE workflow model
- System Performance management
- Problem solving and analytical thinking
- Strong oral/written communication skill
- Knowledge of Mobile technologies - Phonegap/Cordova/iOS/Android/Java/HTML5 a plus
